Queen's UniversityRemote Access (SSL VPN)
Authorized administrative access to the new PeopleSoft system is available from anywhere on campus, excluding the residences and including wireless access. There is also direct PeopleSoft access from the KGH network (including Hotel Dieu & Providence Continuing Care Centre).
However, in order to ensure that the security of the personal and confidential data contained within the PeopleSoft system is not compromised when accessing it from outside the Queen's network, all other remote access requires authorized SSL VPN (Virtual Private Network) access. This includes users at satellite operations such as the Bader International Study Centre (BISC), field research stations, and any other remote location - including a user's home.
Administrative system users can apply for VPN access by filling out the SSL VPN Access Request Form. Access will be granted upon request to any Queen's employee authorized to use PeopleSoft. Grad students may be granted access if they are sponsored by a Queen's employee.
