TECHsmart is a program designed to expose students who would benefit from Adaptive Technology to hands-on experience with the latest technology. While gaining experience with various computer software programs students will complete activities and participate in small group discussions designed to help them gain more knowledge about how they learn, and develop self-advocacy skills. TECHsmart is dedicated to personalized, professional attention. Students will benefit from learning in a small class environment (max 10) with qualified staff who bring with them a wealth of experience working with students with learning disabilities or difficulties. Along with the Adaptive Technology training that suits them best, students will leave the program with a reference guide to help them re-familiarize themselves with the programs as school begins in September.
This intensive summer program will give every student a base of self-knowledge and self-advocacy skills. They will be prepared to meet the next school year with the skills that will ensure their academic studies are completed with more independence and confidence.
