Dates and Deadlines

  • April 1                                   Graduate Students: PPL enrollment opens for Summer term, for those currently not on the PPL
  • April 6                                   Graduate Students: Last withdrawal for the Winter Term PPL
  • April 9-24                             Winter 2020 final exams. The exam schedule is posted in SOLUS.  Learn more.
  • April 30                                 Personal Income tax filing deadline. 
  • April 30                                 Last day to apply to graduate for Spring 2020

 

Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak

Queen’s University is actively monitoring reports on the evolving outbreak of coronavirus COVID-19.

We understand that students may have questions about the possible impact on upcoming exams and convocation ceremonies. The Office of the University Registrar will communicate any changes to schedules which may result from the further spread of COVID-19.

Personal Income Tax Filing with CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) – Certificates for filing.

  • T2202 Income Tax Certificate click here.
  • T4A Income Tax Certificates for scholarship, bursary and award recipients click here.
  • T4 Income Tax Certificates for students employed at Queen’s click here.

 

Graduate Students: Not on the GRAD payment plan and still want to join?

  • If you’re already on a payment plan for 2019-2020, you’ll be automatically rolled into the Summer plan by April 30. Remember, there’s no withdrawal in May! Email fees@queensu.ca if you want to be removed from a payment plan at any time.
  • If you’re not on the payment plan and want to join for the summer term, you can enroll on SOLUS April 1-May 31, but you have to enroll before May 1 to avoid service charges! For more information about the payment plan, click here.

 

Spring 2020 Graduation! 

If you will be completing your degree requirements in order to graduate in Spring 2020 you may apply.  Although the convocation ceremonies are postponed due to COVID-19 you will need to apply so we can confer your degree and mail you your diploma.  For further information related to Convocation, click here.

ALERT: Criminal scams in Kingston actively target students

The university has been made aware of several criminal scams that are targeting Canadian and international students.  You may receive a phone call, email, or text message from individuals claiming that they are from Canada Revenue Agency, Immigration Canada, or the police. Do not transfer money to them or provide personal information. You are advised to hang up and report the call to the police. Learn more.

 

Important reminders from the Government of Canada for international students regarding study permits

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) reminds those attending Canadian post-secondary schools on study permits of the various rules and requirements related to their permit status.

Information from IRCC can be found on the Registrar’s Office website in both English and French.

Summer Term OSAP

Students can apply for OSAP funding for studies during the Summer term. Learn more.

Queen’s Summer General Bursary

Assistance is available to students demonstrating financial need who are attending full-time or part-time studies during the Summer term. Learn more.

 

Queen’s Summer Work Study Program

Queen's Work Study program provides eligible students demonstrating financial need with the opportunity to receive priority for certain part-time positions while they are registered in studies.  The Summer 2020 Work Study program is now available.  Learn more.

 

Preparing for 2020-21 OSAP – Paying your Tuition with OSAP!

The 2020-21 OSAP application will be available mid/late April.  We encourage you to submit your application early!  Learn more.
