You must formally apply to graduate on QCARD. Application time periods will vary from faculty to faculty. For more details, please see Application Windows for Faculties and Schools. If you have already graduated and were unable to attend your ceremony, do not use QCARD to apply to attend a ceremony. Please complete the form here.
Please be sure to check this information when you apply to graduate. The way your name appears on the student record database is the way it will appear on your diploma. Your full legal name should be on file. Name changes for Fall Convocation must be made at the Office of the University Registrar by September 30, 2010 .
PLEASE NOTE: A revised diploma will cost $40.
See the Academic Advice page for the contact from your faculty or school.
Please see the Prospective Dual Degree Grad page for more information.
You can check your degree eligibility status on the Application to Graduate/Graduation Details site on QCARD, beginning October 12th.
You MUST let the university know if you are planning to attend your convocation ceremony. You can do this on the Application to Graduate/Graduation details site on QCARD when you apply to graduate.
When you apply to graduate, please let us know if you are not attending. We will send your diploma to the mailing address listed on QCARD approximately three to four weeks after your ceremony. Please ensure your mailing address on QCARD is up-to-date. Note: You will be required to sign for your diploma when it arrives.
If you would prefer to pick up your diploma, please click the box indicating pickup. Your diploma will be available for pickup the week following your ceremony date in Gordon Hall, Room 125.
If your address is incorrect, the diploma will be returned to Queen's. Diplomas are kept on file for one year.
If arrangements to pick up your diploma are not made within one (1) year of your graduation, it will be destroyed and a replacement fee of $40.00 will apply.
Yes, you can still graduate. You will not, however, receive your diploma at the ceremony. You will receive a tube, like all other graduands, but it will not contain your diploma. Please contact the University Registrar's Office when your account is settled so they can produce your diploma and make arrangements to send it to you.
