Registration Information for Graduate Students

If you are a new or returning graduate student, please review the information below about Fall 2011 Registration, fee payment and UHIP.

Registration

All graduate departments are currently working with the Office of the University Registrar to register you in courses for Fall 2011.  You do not need to go on SOLUS to enroll in your graduate courses.  If you have any questions about what courses you will be enrolled in, please go directly to your graduate department for clarification.   You should be able to view your course registration on SOLUS by mid-August.

Summer Term Fees for 2012

Summer term fees for 2012 have not yet been applied to student accounts and, as a result, the fee payments and schedule quoted on SOLUS only reflects the Fall 2011 and Winter 2012 fees.

Summer term fees for 2012 have not yet been finalized and estimated fees will be applied to student accounts by mid-September.  Once these summer term fee estimates have been applied, your payment schedule and amounts will change.   It is recommended that you log back into SOLUS before September 28th, 2011 to review any updated payment amounts and schedule that has resulted in any fee changes.

2011-2012 Payment Plan (PPL - formerly PAPP)

If you currently pay fees through the PPL, and/or if this is the fee payment option you wish to use in 2011-2012 here is some important information about this fee payment method;

  • Students will be required to self enroll through SOLUS.  This should be set to begin by mid-August.  Further communication will follow regarding when this will officially be opened and instructions on how to self enroll into the PPL in SOLUS.
  • Payments will be evenly calculated over 11 months, October through to August.  This is a change to the PPL effective as of September 2011.
    • The payments will display on SOLUS and you should make note of the payments and their withdrawal dates.
    • Withdrawals will be on the 5th of every month with the first payment on October 5th and the last payment on August 5th.  This is change to the PPL effective as of September 2011.

For detailed instructions on PPL and how to access it in the SOLUS Student Center, please visit this link

PPL Form already Submitted?

If you have already submitted a paper application form, please accept our apologies, but we do require that you re-submit the information online in SOLUS.  If your banking information was attached to the form we have verified this banking information and have made any necessary updates. It will still be your responsibility to ‘self-enroll’ into the payment plan.

Students who cannot use this payment method will not be allowed to enroll into the plan.

You will find the instructions at the end of this page.

Graduate Students Who Are Course-assessed

If you are a Graduate Student who is assessed by course, your fees may not yet be on your SOLUS account yet.

If you chose to select this payment method, proceed to ‘self enroll’ into the PPL, then you should log back into SOLUS to review your payment schedule and amounts. As these fees come available, they will be applied to your student account.

You should also be aware - as a result of the individual course assessment - that your payment plan will fluctuate. Again, it is recommended that you log onto SOLUS to review your payment plan regularly.
