Visiting Students to Queen's

Tuition and Ancillary Fees

Tuition and all ancillary fees are to be paid to the home institution.

Health Insurance

It is compulsory for students who will be at Queen's for a period longer than three weeks to enrol in UHIP (University Health Insurance Program) through the Queen's University International Centre (QUIC). UHIP provides basic medical insurance coverage for hospitals, doctors and most diagnostic fees. Students will be responsible for the payment of the UHIP premium in full prior to registration. Please see our Health Insurance for International Students web site.

Exchange students visiting Queen's from another Canadian province are advised to inform their local Ministry of Health that they will be studying in Ontario.

In addition, you may choose to opt into either the AMS or the SGPS Supplementary Health and Dental Plans, which will cover the cost of prescription drugs, among other things. There are deadlines and fees for opting into these plans; please see the sections AMS Health Plan and SGPS Health and Dental Plans.
