It is compulsory for students who will be at Queen's for a period longer than three weeks to enrol in UHIP (University Health Insurance Program) through the Queen's University International Centre (QUIC). UHIP provides basic medical insurance coverage for hospitals, doctors and most diagnostic fees. Students will be responsible for the payment of the UHIP premium in full prior to registration. Please see our Health Insurance for International Students web site.
Exchange students visiting Queen's from another Canadian province are advised to inform their local Ministry of Health that they will be studying in Ontario.
