Important information regarding tuition fees and refunds

Dear Queen’s Student,

There have been a few questions concerning payment for courses that you may intend to drop, as well as requesting refunds for those fees.

PAYMENTS FOR COURSES STUDENTS INTEND TO DROP

If you enrolled in a course that you intend to drop, you still need to  pay the amount due by September 1 st  .

Students who have an outstanding balance on Sept 1st and have not made Alternate Payment Arrangements, will

  • be charged a late payment fee ($150 for full time students, $50 for part time students)
  • not have their student cards validated. and
  • be blocked from adding and swapping courses  until outstanding amounts owing are paid

REFUNDS

If your fees due September 1st and 30th are fully paid and you are entitled to a refund, you may request a refund:  http://www.queensu.ca/registrar/currentstudents/fees/refund.html

You may also choose to leave any credited funds in your student account to be applied to any future fees (including Student Activity fees and Residence fees due on September 30th).

Refunds will be processed after September 21st (after the September Open Enrolment period ends).

Should you have any further questions or concerns, please contact our staff at solus@queensu.ca
