Dear Queen's student:
Please find the following important information regarding Income Tax Certificates (T2202A, T4A) as well as how credit balances in student accounts will be processed in the coming month.
§ T4A's have just been mailed to students who received a scholarship, bursary or award during the 2011 calendar year. You should receive your T4A within the next week. It will be mailed to your primary mailing address in SOLUS.
§ Scholarships, bursaries and awards are considered income by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). For more information, contact the Canada Revenue Agency, the Ministry of Revenue of your home province or territory, or a tax specialist
§ Refunds will be automatically processed throughout the month of February
§ Refunds will only be processed via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). It is important to ensure that students’ banking information and mailing address are complete and up-to-date on SOLUS or their refund will not be processed. You can refer to the University Registrar’s web site for further instructions on how to update your bank account information in SOLUS.
For students receiving OSAP, the Office of the University Registrar - Student Awards must review your OSAP account prior to issuing refunds. Please visit this link for information on possible exceptions.
You can contact us directly via e-mail at solus@queensu.ca . Our staff are ready to help.
