Quick Checklist

First time users need to read and follow all the steps on the Detailed Instructions webpage.

Repeat users who are already familiar with the e-marks process can refer to this checklist to remind them about the steps for submitting marks on-line.

  1. Prepare the marks spreadsheet and ensure that the first 5 columns from left to right are student number, course (BIOL101 - no section letter), term of course (F,FW,W,N,NS,S), mark (no decimals), mark condition codes. See Step 4 on the Detailed Instructions page for more information if necessary.
  2. Copy columns 1 to 5 from the existing spreadsheet and 'paste special' these columns into a new spreadsheet. Do not copy the column headings, and make sure there are no hidden columns.
  3. Save the new spreadsheet as Text (Tab Delimited), for Windows computers; and as Text (Windows) for Mac computers.
  4. Go to the Marks Upload (NetID) Logon screen, and sign-on with your NetID and Password, follow the instructions on the screen to upload your marks text file.
  5. The marks will be loaded into a temporary holding database and a white paper Marks Sheet will be printed and forwarded to your Departmental Administrator for processing in the usual manner.
