Dates and Deadlines

  • Feb 1 – 15                           Enter your banking information on SOLUS if you have a credit on SOLUS that is eligible for a refund.
  • Feb 1 - 28                            Undergraduate Students: Receive 25% tuition refund for a dropped undergraduate program related course
  • February 3                          Registration for Summer Term Classes begins
  • February 5                          Graduate Students: Payment Plan withdrawal date.
  • February 14                        Exam schedule is posted to SOLUS.
  • February 17                        Family Day (classes will not be held).
  • February 18-21                  Mid-term Reading Week – except Education, Medicine (all classes cancelled)
  • February 28                        Undergraduate Students: Last day to drop Winter Term and multi-term classes
  • February 29                        T2202 available in SOLUS.  Learn more.

                                                   T4A’s will be mailed at end of February to your mailing address on SOLUS. Make sure your mailing address is correct in SOLUS!  Learn more

  • March 7                               Deadline to register for accommodation for centrally scheduled April examinations.  Learn more.

ALERT: Criminal scams in Kingston actively target students

The university has been made aware of several criminal scams that are targeting Canadian and international students.  You may receive a phone call, email, or text message from individuals claiming that they are from Canada Revenue Agency, Immigration Canada, or the police. Do not transfer money to them or provide personal information. You are advised to hang up and report the call to the police. Learn more.


Important reminders from the Government of Canada for international students regarding study permits

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) reminds those attending Canadian post-secondary schools on study permits of the various rules and requirements related to their permit status.

Information from IRCC can be found on the Registrar’s Office website in both English and French.

If you missed the October 31st deadline, don’t worry. For students in 3 terms of study, you can still apply!  The General Bursary link is on your SOLUS Student Centre.  Learn More.


Please make sure your mailing address in SOLUS is up to date!

All T4A slips are mailed to your Current Mail Address as it appears on SOLUS. Please ensure your mailing address is current as soon as possible, and prior to January 31st.  Instructions on how to update your mailing address in SOLUS are here.

Spring 2020 Graduation is coming! 

If you will be completing your degree requirements in order to graduate in Spring 2020, you must apply to graduate. You can do so starting December 1, 2019.  For your timeline and for more information related to Convocation, click here.
