Richard Ascough named Director of the School of Religion

Principal Daniel Woolf and Dean Alistair MacLean have announced that Dr. Richard Ascough will be the Director of the School of Religion, which has been newly integrated into Queen's University.

Richard Ascough is Associate Professor at the School of Religion, where he has taught since 1999. 

 

His teaching and research specialty focuses on the history of early Christianity and Greco-Roman religious culture, on which he has published eight books and more than thirty articles.  Dr. Ascough has also published six articles on teaching and learning and offers workshops and consultations across North America.  He has been recognized for his innovative teaching in a number of ways, including both of the University-wide teaching awards at Queen's University.

 

Dr. Ascough will become Director on July 1, 2012.
