John Cook, who taught in the Department of Religious Studies at Queen's, passed away on Sept. 22, 2012.
John taught World Religions, Buddhism, and Islam in the Department from 1970 until his retirement fourteen years ago. He kept active, however, and continued teaching RELS 131 by correspondence for another decade. Many who knew him well speak of his positive and gentle presence around Theological Hall.
John's longtime friend and colleague, Cliff Hospital, has written a tribute, which can be viewed here (PDF, 72KB).
