QSR Board of Management meets for the last time

On Monday, 30 April, 2012, the Board of Management at Queen's School of Religion met for the last time.

Established in 1912 by the Charter of Queen's Theological College, the Board of Management was responsible for the government, conduct, management and control of the College/School and of its property, revenues, business and affairs.  It developed and ratified agreements and policies, appointed the Principal and members of the faculty, and granted tenure and promotion.  It bore responsibility for all financial matters, including development, and facilitated strategic planning.

With the merger of the School of Religion and Queen's University, the Board of Management no longer exists.  Board members resigned their positions at the end of the final meeting.  Although all members celebrate the merger, there was some sadness at the end of an era of good management and support of the College/School.

Pictured below are the members and resource staff of the 2011/12 Board of Management.
