If you are interested in becoming a field placement for theology students, the first thing you need to do is to contact Pamela Holmes, the (Acting) Director of the Field Education program. You will be sent an information form and a copy of the School's criteria for approving supervisors and placements.
The next step is to complete this Information Form. You will be sent the one applicable to your setting: "Supervised Practice of Congregational Ministry" or "Supervised Practice of Institutional/Community Ministry." You will need to indicate on the form when the intention to have a theology student was approved by the congregation/parish council, or Board of Directors.
Along with the completed form, you can anticipate sending us a copy of your most recent mission statement, annual report, and an up-to-date resume of the proposed supervisor.
The Field Education Advisory Committee of the School reviews all placement inquiries and establishes the criteria for approving supervisors and placements.
