Registration

New Students

New students in degree programs will meet with a faculty advisor before selecting their courses.  For those students starting in September, time will be set aside on Orientation Day to meet with your advisor.  For those students starting in January or May, individual meetings will be set up.

Fall/Winter 2011-12

Registration Payment (tuition) due - September 1, 2011

Amount due depends on the number of courses you will take in the 2011-12 academic year.  See our fee page for information on how to calculate your tuition fees.

Orientation Day - TBA (usually the first week of September)

Students will be meet with faculty advisors to select their courses.  They will then register for their courses online using SOLUS, the Queen's University portal for students.

Students who are not able to attend should contact Cheryl O'Shea to make alternate arrangements.

Other Dates to Remember

September 5 to 23 - add/drop period. This is when you can make changes to your course registrations.

September 12 - Classes start

September 12 to 23 - opt-out period. This is the time to opt out of any optional student activity fees that you don't want to pay. For information on how to opt out please go to http://www.sgps.ca/info/fees.html

Returning Students

Registration for courses is now down online, using SOLUS, the Queen's University portal for students.

Fall/Winter 2011-12 - Schedule

June 15 - All outstanding debts to the University must be paid. You will not be able to register if you have debts owing.

July 4 to August 31 - preregister for your courses, via SOLUS

September 1 - Tuition (full amount) due.  Amount due is calculated based on the number of courses you are taking and your year of study.  Please see our fees page for more information and instruction. For more details and instructions on how to make your payment please see the Registrar's Office website.

September 1 - Registration for 2011/12 should be complete.

August 29 to September 9 - student card validation period. After you have completed your registration, get your Photo-Id student card validated for the 2011/12 year. Dates for validation are available on the Registrar's Office website.
