Queen's Architecture: The Early Years

Friday 7 June 2013

10.30 AM to Noon (10.30 AM to 1.30 PM if having lunch at University Club)

This year’s tour is in two parts:

10.30 AM, Room 101, Kinesiology Building, 28 Division Street (across from Dupuis Hall).

Sabrina DeSousa, an MA student (Art History) with a passionate interest in architecture, will give a short talk about the architectural features of some of the older buildings on campus.

Walking Tour

After her talk, Sabrina will lead us on a campus tour to include the buildings she discussed earlier.

Those who wish can have lunch at the University Club after the tour (a reservation has been made for 12.15 PM). It is not necessary to be a member and you can pay with a credit card.  We have been allowed up to fifteen parking spaces on campus from 10.15 AM to 2.15 PM.   If you are using a Queen’s parking place you will need to place your RAQ Membership Card on the dash.

If you would like to join the tour, please notify Cherrilyn Yalin by e-mail ( or phone (613-542-4201) by Friday 31 May.   When you contact her, please let her know if you  require a parking place and if you wish to have lunch at the University Club. In order that everyone can hear the guide, we will cap the tour at  40 people.
