Radebe to sign agreement with Lesotho, (Business Day, 2005-07-20):-Minister of Transport Jeff Radebe will on Friday lead SA's delegation to Lesotho for the signing of two bilateral agreements with the Lesotho government. The Department of Transport said in a statement that the signing would include two areas of co-operation - corridor developments in order to promote and strengthen the existing economic and tourist activity between the two countries as well as co-operation on the issue of searcl and rescue. According to the department, “these agreements are geared toward promoting the technical and financial cooperation in the area of road construction and transportation within the contexts of the implementation of the SADC protocol on Transport, and the co-opertion for Inter-State use of Search and Rescue Facilities and the details in terms of the envisaged strategy regarding this matter.
