| Tanzania starts to reap rewards of EAC customs union, (Arusha Times, 2006-03-24):-In what seems to be a 'table turning' development in two years as far as the cross border trade is concerned, Tanzania is now reported to be exporting more goods to Kenya, via the Holili border in Kilimanjaro than the country had been importing from its neighbor. The Regional Manager for the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) in Kilimanjaro, Patience Minga confirmed that between 2004 and 2005 Tanzania through the Holili-Taveta border, has been exporting more commodities than it imported from Kenya. | |
