The Department of Home Affairs once again condemns today’s reported attacks on foreigners in townships around Tshwane with the contempt they deserve. In recent attacks in Atteridgeville, west of Tshwane, two foreigners were killed and others injured. We reiterate that this inappropriate behaviour will not in any way be tolerated and has to be deplored unequivocally. Consultations with relevant stakeholders are continuing to find a lasting solution to probe the attacks.
