Purpose
The purpose of this procedure is to describe considerations when entering into Advancement and Development Contracts.
Procedure
All gifts accepted by the university must be in accordance with the university's Gift Acceptance Policy.
Faculties or business units must consult with Advancement before entering into any donation or donation related agreement.
Should a donation agreements or planned gift have a research component involved, the Office of the Vice-Principal Research must be consulted as early as possible in the process.
Advancement will help to ensure that the appropriate approvals and signing authorities are obtained in accordance with the Policy on Approval and Execution of Contracts and Invoices.
