Brockington Visitorship

The Senate Committee on Creative Arts and Public Lectures (SCCAPL) will be responsible for annually seeking and adjudicating proposals from members of the Queen's Community to invite persons of international distinction to be Brockington Visitors. Visitors should be drawn from a wide spectrum of backgrounds. Brockington Visitors are expected to deliver a public lecture and to be available during the visit to meet formally and informally with appropriate segments of the Queen's and Kingston communities.

Successful applicants will make all arrangements for the visit and be responsible for the reception of the Brockington Visitor while on campus. After the visit, the host will report to SCCAPL on the expenditure of the allotted funds and on activities of the Brockington Visitor.

Every five years SCCAPL will review the terms of reference of the Brockington Visitorship and, as necessary, make recommendations that will ensure that the Visitorship best serves the needs of the Queen's community. SCCAPL will report annually to the Senate on the Brockington Visitorship, indicating how the income of the Brockington endowment was spent and the activities of the Brockington Visitors.

If you have any questions regarding this please email the Secretary of Creative Arts and Public Lectures.
