Residence Committee

To recommend to the Senate policies that ensure residences life is complementary to the attainment of academic excellence in the University;

To advise the Associate Dean of Student Affairs in all matters of policy relating to the Residence system;

To support and encourage the existence of student government;

Without restricting the generality of the foregoing the responsibilities of the Senate Residence Committee include:

  • developing, reviewing and revising residence admissions policy, including such matters as defining eligibility for residence accommodation.
  • reviewing and approving residence fees and the annual budget.
  • approving the overall process for Residence Student Discipline.
  • approving the overall process for Residence Life.
  • ratifying student constitutions and by-laws.
