At the May 28, 2013 Senate meeting Senate approved the motion:
That the Senate Information Technology Committee be placed on hiatus for one year (2013/2014) pending a review of the recommendations contained in the committee report attached as Appendix A and that Senate recommend to the Chief Information Officer that a Faculty Advisory Committee within the Information Technology Services administrative committee structure be established.
To recommend to the Senate general policies for the operation, development and planning of information technology systems and services for the University;
to make regulations on matters of academic significance with respect to systems and services operated by Information Technology Services;
to review proposals of the Director of Information Technology Services on the preparation of the Information Technology Services' budget and on any proposed change in the approved budget which would involve a change in the policy of Information Technology Services which is of academic significance.
