In recognition of Queen's University's 175th anniversary, the awarding of Honorary Degrees for the calendar year 2016 will be restricted to Queen's Alumni only. Please contact the University Secretariat if you have questions.
The Senate Committee on Honorary Degrees of Queen's University invites nominations for honorary degrees to be awarded at convocations in the year 2016. In order to encourage the broadest possible range of nominations, any person is eligible to make a nomination.
Convocations will be held in June and November, with specific dates to be announced near the end of 2015.

A completed nomination form is essential for submission to the Committee and the Senate.
You may reproduce the form, vary the length of the sections, but the content is limited to two pages.
Please take great care in completing the section "Reasons for Recommending Award of an Honorary Degree" since the Committee focuses on this section in making its selection.
You may include up to 15 pages of supporting documentation (curriculum vitae, letters of support, etc.) but only the form will be presented to Senate.
