Spinal cord and brainstem imaging in women with provoked vestibulodynia

Participant criteria:

  • Woman who experience genital pain
  • Willing and able to travel to Queen's University
  • Ages 18-50

We are recruiting women who experience genital pain for a study about how pain is processed in the brain and spinal cord.

Participation consists of three separate appointments: (1) a gynecological exam at Queen's University,(2)completion of online questionnaires, and (3) 2 fMRI sessions at Queen's University.

Participation is strictly confidential and monetary compensation is offered.

Postpartum Sexual Function and the Effects of Mode of Delivery

Participant criteria:

  • Woman who have given birth within last 2 years for the FIRST time
  • Willing and able to travel to Queen's University
  • Over 18

We are recruiting women who have given birth for the first time in the last 2 years (either vaginally or through C-section) for a study about multiple aspects of female sexual health after childbirth.

Participation consists of two separate appointments: (1) a gynecological exam at Queen's University, and (2) an interview, completion of questionnaires, sensory testing, and blood flow imaging of the genital region while watching an erotic film. at Queen's University.

Participation is strictly confidential and monetary compensation is offered.

VIOLET Study

Participant criteria:

  • Healthy woman who have never given birth
  • Willing and able to travel to Queen's University
  • Ages 25-40

We are recruiting women who have never given birth for a study about multiple aspects of female sexual health.

Participation consists of two separate appointments: (1) a gynecological exam at Queen's University, and (2) an interview, completion of questionnaires, sensory testing, and blood flow imaging of the genital region while watching an erotic film. at Queen's University.
