Online Studies

You can participate in the studies below from any computer equipped with internet access at any time of your choosing (no appointment or sign-up needed). Unless otherwise stated, studies should be completed alone in a quiet space without interruptions and distractions.

Prostate Cancer Patient Experiences Study      Participate Now!

Participant criteria:

  • Diagnosed with non-metastatic prostate cancer within the past 5 years
  • No previous cancer diagnosis
  • Age 18 or older
  • Fluent in English

We are seeking prostate cancer patients and survivors for an online study on patient experiences.

Study procedures:You will complete online questionnaires about diagnosis and treatment history, sexual functioning, sexual and relationship satisfaction, mental and physical wellbeing, and healthcare experiences.Participating will take 60 to 90 minutes.Prize draws available!

This study is funded by a Prostate Cancer Canada Movember Discovery Grant.

PEGASUS Study 2      Participate Now!

Participant criteria:

  • Participants of all gender expressions and sexual orientations invited to participate
  • Age 18 or older
  • Fluent in English
  • Not currently experiencing any sexual difficulties

We are recruiting participants for an online study of physical sensations and sexual health! Participation includes the completion of a 45-minute online questionnaire. Participation is anonymous, and prize draws are available as a thank you for your participation.

TEAL Study      Participate Now!

Participant criteria:

  • Currently experiencing persistent genital arousal symptoms
  • Age 18 or older
  • Access to a computer

We are recruiting women who currently experience persistent genital arousal disorder (PGAD) for a free 8-session group online educational program.

Participation involves:

1. Attending a free 8-session online education program for PGAD offered by a licensed physiotherapist specializing in pelvic floor, spine, and chronic pain.

2. Topics will include the science of chronic pain and its implications for PGAD, posture and exercises for spine and pelvic health, relaxation and visualization strategies, nutrition, coping and communication strategies for psychological wellbeing and relationships.

3. Completion of questionnaires (about genital discomfort, mood, sexual functioning, and general health) before, immediately following, and 6-months following the online program.

Our next group is scheduled for Mondays, 12-2PM EST starting mid to late January, 2018.
