In May of 2009, the Queen's University Senate approved adoption of a new grading system based on letter grades and a numerical grade point average (GPA).
The new grading system becomes effective May 1, 2011 with the Summer term. Instructors will submit grades electronically to People Soft for the Winter Term 2011, but the grades will be according to the current system (e.g., percentage grades in most Faculties and Schools).
The Office of the University Registrar has provided an outline of the new grading legend.
