Important First Steps for International Graduate Students
Congratulations on making your decision to accept Queen's offer of admission. Before you make your way to Canada and Queen's, be prepared:
Read the section from the Queen's International Centre (QUIC) pages specifically for "Incoming Students"
- Contact your graduate program to find out if they have any specific information for incoming international students
- Register with the Office of the University Registrar
- Contact the Queen's University International Centre (QUIC) to sign-up for the international orientation
- Contact QUIC to arrange for sign-up and payment of the mandatory University Health Insurance Plan
- Contact the Society of Graduate & Professional Students to arrange for sign-up of optional dental and health plans
- If you have children, ensure that immunizations are updated to allow for enrolment in elementary or secondary school
