Graduate programs at the University are under the spotlight as the School of Graduate Studies and Research launches its new brand and slogan: Create an Impact, Set your Ideas in Motion.
The new brand was launched by Associate Vice-Principal and Dean of Graduate Studies and Research Dr. Janice Deakin on Wednesday, November 7 at the Biosciences Atrium as the kick-off for the University's first Graduate Studies Open House.
Queen's plans to increase its number of graduate students, resulting in at least a 40-per-cent increase in the number of master's students and more than 25 per cent in doctoral students. The University's graduate programs are increasingly attractive to potential students, said Dr. Deakin.
"Students should choose Queen's because they can work with some of the world's top researchers and scholars, we offer financial support for their studies and Kingston is a wonderful community," she said.
