Over this past summer, Student Affairs has been working hard at putting together a website specifically for our graduate students. Called "graduate student life" this site will provide information for both prospective or current students, domestic or international, single or families. With links to both personal and academic support systems at Queen's or the greater Kingston community, this site is set to be a very unique resource centre.
As Associate Vice Principal & Dean of Student Affairs, Dr Jason Laker says,
"Whether you are a first-time or returning graduate student, this site is designed to support your academic and personal success along the way. Indeed, the personal and academic are inextricably linked, given the intense commitment and pace required during graduate studies. Here you will find links to resources to ease your path, including assistance with basic needs such as housing or food; health and wellness support programs; academic assistance; and advocacy and accommodation services. The Division of Student Affairs, along with partners in the School of Graduate Studies and the Society of Graduate and Professional Studies, have been working together to create or tailor programs and services with your unique needs in mind. Together, we hope that your time at Queen's will be rewarding-intellectually and otherwise; and that the resources listed here will strengthen your ability to realize a successful graduation, and pursuit of your future aspirations as a leader and global citizen."
This new site is still a work in progress, but we hope you find it useful
