28th Annual Canadian Biomaterials Society (CBS) Conference, is calling for abstracts now!

The CBS Conference, to be held this year at Queen's University on June 2 - 4, in the Biosciences Complex, is an opportunity for researchers from academia, the clinic, and industry to share their most recent findings in all aspects of biomaterials research.

The CBS is an incorporated, not-for-profit organization, dedicated to the development of biomaterials science, technology, and education in Canadian universities, industry, and government.  A conference is held each year, to
promote the exchange of research information, and to develop new collaborations amongst Canadian researchers, industrial partners, and students. The conference covers a broad range of topics pertaining to materials in medicine, including biomaterials development, scaffold fabrication, biomechanics, cardiovascular and orthopaedic
applications/devices, drug delivery, engineered cellular microenvironments, nanomedicine, and tissue engineering. Student development is also a key focus of the conference, and presentations by graduate students are strongly promoted.

Last year, there were over 200 participants, representing 13 major Canadian Universities, as well as 16 international academic institutions, and 12 sponsoring organizations.

The website for the conference is: http://cbsannual.chemeng.queensu.ca

Abstracts are now being accepted for consideration for podium and poster. Details can be found at:
