Executive Director of Ontario Universities Council on Quality Assurance, Donna Woolcott, visited Queen's today to appraise Queen's graduate programs on the new Quality Assurance requirements for Ontario.
Replacing the previous Ontario Council on Graduate Studies (OCGS) cyclical program reviews, the new Quality Assurance is all about shifting the focus from not just degree level expectations, but to learning outcomes.
With a number of quality indicators from first contact with students to what they are doing post degree, from initiatives to enhance the quality of programs and to have reachable targets, all bodes well for our students and University.
The full presentation to our faculty from Dr Woolcott can be found on our Faculty/Staff pages of the School of Graduate Studies website.
