Copying for my own personal research or private study?
Students and researchers can make copies of copyrighted works without requesting permission from a copyright holder as long as they follow the guidelines listed in the Copyright at Queen's policy. A summary of these guidelines is available at http://library.queensu.ca/copyright/fairdealing
The Copyright Advisory Office will be creating a guide specifically for researchers in the coming months.
