Thesis Completion Instructions for Doctoral Students

SKHS graduate students should visit the SKHS Graduate Assistant to begin the preparation for their doctoral defense.  Angie is available at:

Preparations include:

• completion of the Doctoral Oral Thesis Examination Form
• identification of committee members
• confirmation of the date, time and location of the oral defense
• and make other associated arrangements as required

Corrections to Thesis Document

• Students may not provide corrections to their thesis after it has been submitted to the examining committee in preparation for the oral defense.  If the edit is substantial, ie a page or more affecting the examiner’s ability to understand the document, it may be granted on a one-off basis. 

This meeting takes about 20 minutes. Doctoral students should conduct this visit 5 weeks (30 working days) prior to their chosen defense date.
