Former SKHS MA student, Matthew Hawzen, won the 2015 Barbara Brown Student Paper Award from the North American Society for the Sociology of Sport for work based on his MA thesis on Tim Tebow.

Dr. Elaine Power, Associate Professor in the School of Kinesiology & Health Studies at Queen’s University speaks about the fight against hunger at the SPUR Festival in Ottawa ON on 07 November 2015.  Dr. Power says:  “An adequate basic income guarantee would mean the end of hunger and then food banks could be closed forever.”

Erica Phipps, SKHS PhD Student is recipient of 2015 Vanier Scholarship

Erica Phipps, School of Kinesiology and Health Studies PhD student, is in the Queen’s Gazette this week as one of 6 New Vanier Scholars.  Ms. Phipps’ graduate supervisor, Dr. Jeffrey Masuda says:  "We at SKHS are exceptionally fortunate to have Erica Phipps join our PhD program and the Centre for Environmental Health Equity.
