"Oh the directions they go!" Read about the career plans of our Health Studies students as submitted by them at the time of their graduation.
Note: In 2009-10, nine HLTH graduates from Spring 2009 returned to Queen's as follows: six students entered a Bachelor of Education; one student entered a Bachelor of Nursing Science; one student entered an MSC in Kinesiology and Health Studies; and, one student returned to pursue post-degree course work.
Upon graduation, I am spending the summer volunteering at Camp Outlook, a Queen's-affiliated registered charity. Afterwards, I will be working at Project Canoe,
a Toronto-based non-profit organization that uses the outdoors to
provide youth with unique opportunities to develop new skills and self
confidence. In my role, I am using my in-depth knowledge of the social
determinants of health to design and implement programs for our youth.
Majoring in health studies has given me an advantage in my career.
