Upon graduating from my BAH in Health
Studies this June, I am eager to begin working for a year. I have
applied to various positions in community health networks, hospitals and
NGO's. After my year of work, I will apply to a Couple and Family
Therapy program to pursue a Masters.
L.T. - BAH MAJ HLTH
Following the completion of my third year as a Health Studies Major at Queen's University, I will begin a Doctorate of Medicine in French at the University of Ottawa in September 2011. I hope to become a family physician.
M.M. - BA MIN HLTH
I have currently returned to work as a research assistant at the IWK Health Centre,
the local children's hospital. Over the next year I plan to continue my
work there as well as gain valuable experiences travelling Europe and
Australia, and doing volunteer work in various settings in India and
Thailand. In Fall 2012 I plan to enroll in either a condensed BSc
nursing program or a BSc in nutrition.
H.B. - BAH MAJ HLTH
After having
finished my BAH in Health Studies this April, I will be returning to
Queen's in September to begin Graduate School. I will be completing my Masters of Science in Physical Therapy ,
a 24-month program that involves classroom study and practical
placements. Best of luck to all future Health Students... anything is
possible!!
E.A. - BAH MAJ HLTH
In September 2011 I will be attending the University of Toronto for a Master's of Science in Occupational Therapy program. Upon completion of the program, I anticipate practicing occupational therapy in the GTA.
A.M.T. - BAH MAJ HLTH.
After finishing the final courses required to complete my Health Studies BAH in April, I began my position as an intern at the CIHR Institute of Population and Public Health
in Ottawa. This coming year I plan to continue working, as well as
travel and volunteer abroad. I will also be applying to Masters programs
in health promotion, nutrition and/or public health for Fall 2012.
M.I. - BAH MAJ HLTH
Upon graduating with my BAH in Health Studies this June, I am attending Teacher's College at Queen's in
the Fall. After this I hope to combine both my Health degree and my
Bachelor of Education in the future with an intention to pursue a
Masters degree in the health field as well.
P.M - BAH MAJ HLTH
After
completing my BAH medial in Health Studies and Biology, I will be
continuing my studies. Next Fall I will be attending the University of
British Columbia for an MSc in Epidemiology,
focusing on workplace health and nutrition for cancer
prevention. Completing a Health Studies degree provided me with the
tools and skills needed to succeed both in and outside university.
L.D. - BAH MED BIOL HLTH
This coming September I will begin my Masters of Science (Applied) in Human Nutrition with an emphasis in Community and International Nutrition at McGill University.
After the two year program, I may decide to complete the corresponding
Graduate Diploma in order to become a Registered Dietitian or I may
decide to start working. Ultimately, I hope to work in nutrition
programming or promotion.
E.B. - BAH MJM HLTH FREN
After
graduating from by BAH in Health Studies and Psychology this June, I
plan on taking a year off to pursue employment and gain experience in
the rehabilitation/physiotherapy fields. I have applied to various
positions in physiotherapy clinics, hospitals, and other community
health networks. After taking this time to work, travel and experience
life outside of school I will be applying to graduate programs at both
the University of Victoria and the University of British Columbia.

I am
graduating with a major in health studies and a minor in geography.
After one last summer working in Kingston I will be attending the Advanced Track Nursing Program at the University of British Columbia for 2 years.
E.L. - BAH MJM HLTH GPHY
This April I finished my BAH in Health Studies. In the fall I will be starting a four year Doctorate of Medicine at St. George's University. Upon completion I plan to apply for a position in a surgical residency program.
N.M. - BAH MAJ HLTH
With the completion of my degree in Health Studies this Spring, I am returning to Queen's to work full-time for the Alma Mater Society as
the Human Resources Officer. I will be taking additional courses in
business and French. Afterwards, I will puruse a Masters in Health
Administration, Public Health or Industrial Relations.
A.M. - BAH MAJ HLTH
Following the completion of my degree, I have enrolled at Lakehead University in a post-undergraduate, one-year Bachelor of Honours in Social Work.
After completing this program, I hope to get my Masters of Social
Work. I hope to eventually work as a social worker in a hospital.
R.B. - BAH MAJ HLTH
Upon completing my BAH in Health Studies this
June, I have decided to take some time to work and travel. After
exploring the wonders of Southeast Asia this summer, I am applying to
graduate programs in nutrition or health promotion for the following
year. I also hope to obtain my yoga teaching certification in the fall.
N.A. - BAH MAJ HLTH
Upon the completion of my BAH in Health Studies I will begin a two year MClSc (Master of Clinical Science) program in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) at the University of Western Ontario. Afterward, I hope to practice SLP in Toronto.
B.S. - BAH MAJ HLTH
Although attending my convocation this spring, I had finished my health credits in time to complete my Ontario Graduate Certificate in Public Relations
at Humber College this year. After finishing my BA at Queen’s, I was
eager to continue learning how communication affects relationships,
business practices and of course, public health initiatives. Currently,
I’m working at CTV BellMedia in the communications and publicity
department.
R.W. - BA MIN HLTH
After having
completed by BAH in Health Studies this summer, I will be coming back to
Queen's in September to begin Graduate School for my Masters of Occupational Therapy.
K.C - BAH MAJ HLTH
After
finishing a General BSC in Life Sciences in 2010 and an Honours BA Major in Health Studies in 2011, I took a year
off to work as a research assistant at an ophthalmologist's office and apply to
professional schools. In September 2012, I began a professional
degree in Pharmacy at the University of Toronto. Both my undergraduate degrees
complemented each other and set me up with the necessary knowledge sets and
skills to undertake any endeavour. After my four years, I hope to work in a
hospital or community pharmacy setting and to one day own my own pharmacy.
