Kinesiology 2010

"Oh the directions they go!"  Read about the career plans of Kinesiology students as submitted by them at the time of graduation.

Note: In 2010-11, six Kinesiology graduates from Spring 2010 returned to Queen's as follows: one student entered an MSC in Kinesiology & Studies; one student entered an MSC in Physiotherapy; one student entered an MSC in Anatomy; one student entered a Bachelor of Nursing Science; one student entered a Bachelor of Honours in Computing Science; and, one student returned to do post-degree courses in Arts & Science.

Starting September 2010, I will pursue a Master's of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen's University I really enjoyed my undergraduate experience at Queen's, and have decided to stay for another 2 years! I look forward to a career as a physical therapist.

In September I will be returning to Queen's to begin a Master of Science in Kinesiology and Health Studies.  I will be working with Dr. Jean Cote in the area of Sport Psychology.
M.V. - BSCH SSP KINE

In September 2010, I will be pursuing my education at McGill University doing a Masters of Science in the department of Kinesiology and Physical Education. I will be working with Dr. Tanja Taivassalo in the area of Exercise Physiology looking at exercise intolerance with COPD patients.
C.P. - BSCH SSP KINE

Starting this fall, I will be working for a year with the Orthopaedic Research Team at the University Hospital in London, ON. Under the tutelage of Dr Naudie and his partners, the bulk of the work will focus on total joint replacement research of the hip and knee.
N.R.P - BSCH SSP KINE

This fall I will be attending the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. I will be perusing a four-year Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree that combines classroom, clinical, and research education. At the end of this degree I may look to set up a practice within southern Ontario.
M.L.J. - BSCH SSP KINE

Since finishing my degree, I have been working as a Kinesiologist and Exercise Therapist at Kingston Body Managment.  I am loving this multifaceted position and amazing opportunity to apply the knowledge I have gained through my studies at Queen's and abroad. After working for a year, I plan to travel before pursuing further education and a career in medicine.

Starting September '10 I will be entering my Master of Science in Physiotherapy at McMaster University. I look forward to pursuing my love of sports and orthopedics in the process. Thank you Queen's for a great four years!

I will pursue a Bachelor of Nursing Science, which will take two years to complete, in the advanced standing track program at Queen's.
