Now in Our 29th Year! SNID has served the Queen's development community since 1983, each year organizing a diverse program of visiting and local speakers discussing an eclectic range of development-related topics. SNID has also organized several major workshops and conferences, which have provided the basis for numerous publications. SNID serves a large, varied constituency of faculty, graduate students, undergraduates, and community participants. A weekly seminar series is the staple activity of SNID. These seminars are normally held on Thursdays from 1:00 to 2:30 pm in Mackintosh Corry Hall, Room D214 but it is recommended that you consult the Calendar of Events on this website for possible changes in dates and venue. SNID is also a regular sponsor of conferences, film festivals, workshops and other development related activities, all of which are posted in advance on our Calendar.
