My research is on the control of discrete-event systems, which are processes whose behaviour can be described by sequences of events. I use theoretical tools from Computer Science and the research I do has an impact on computing systems. However, the real reason I am interested in Internet Studies is because I am concerned about the potentially negative impact that the internet has on student learning.
