Tonya Lee Williams is an internationally recognized actor, producer, director, writer, and activist with a career that spans over 30 years. Best known for her starring role as Dr. Olivia Winters on daytime drama, The Young and The Restless, which has earned her two NAACP Image Awards and two Emmy nominations, she founded ReelWorld Film Festival which had its inaugural festival in April 2001. ReelWorld’s mandate is to create opportunities for Canadian artists from racial and culturally diverse backgrounds, as well as to help build Canadian audience support for Canadian films.

ReelWorld Film Festival’s vision is to change the face of the Canadian film and video industry behind the scenes and on the screens. The cinematic form has become its own global language; learning through narrative film may be one of the most valued and efficient teaching tools we have. ReelWorld Film Festival is Canada’s premiere non-profit film festival dedicated to nurturing, promoting and celebrating the full spectrum of racially and culturally diverse films and video.

Everyone welcome.
