Departmental Awards for Study Abroad

...in Spain, Italy and Latin America

The Garton Memorial Graduating Awards for Continuing Studies in Spanish

Awarded to a graduating student with A standing with preference to a student who has been accepted into the M.A. Program in Spanish Language and Literature at Queen's University. One or two awards will be given each year.

The Garton Memorial Award for Study Abroad

Awarded to a student in either a minor, medial or major concentration in Spanish, with the highest overall average, who will study abroad and acquire transfer credits in Spanish. One or two awards are to be given, with preference given to study in Latin American and/or Spain.

The Spanish & Italian Travel Bursary

Awarded at the end of second year on the basis of academic achievement to a student who will be studying at a Spanish or Italian-speaking university in third year, or part of that year, and who will be returning to further studies in Spanish or Italian at Queen's University in the following session.
