Awards, Scholarships and Prizes are not normally awarded to students who do not achieve first-class standing (see Arts & Science Calendar).
Based on the cumulative average, this medal is given to the candidate graduating with a first-class honours degree who has achieved the highest standing in a concentration offered by that Department. An additional medal may be awarded to up to five students annually who are graduating with first-class honours in programs with special field concentrations or combined medial concentrations. Nominations for these additional medals are to be made to the awards Committee who will make recommendations to the Committee of Departments (see Arts and Science Calendar).
Awarded to 2 students graduating with honours BA/Bsc who are judged to have the best academic records at Queen's.
Awarded to the student who has the highest standing in a third- or fourth-year course on Peninsular Spanish Literature, provided that the standing is first class.
Awarded to the student graduating in a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) program with the highest standing in a major or medial concentration in Spanish (provided that it is first class)
Student with a concentration in Spanish who has highest standing in a course or a combination of courses at the 300 or 400 level in Spanish (excluding Span-301/302) provided that such standing is first class.
Awarded to student who has the highest standing, providing the student is first class and is proceeding to further studies in Spanish at Queen's in the following session. 1 each in Span-010* and Span-112*.
1. Student who has the highest standing in Span-301* or Span-303* providing it is first class.
2. Student who has the highest standing in Span-302* or Span-304* providing it is first class.
3. Student who has the highest standing in Span-251 or providing it is first class.
1. Student who has highest standing in Span-261 providing that it is first class.
2. Student who has the highest standing in Span-204* providing it is first class.
3. Student who has the highest standing in Span-205 providing it is first class.
Student with highest standing (providing it is first class) in a minor, medial or major concentration in Spanish who is returning from a third-year abroad program at a Spanish-speaking university to complete the final year at Queen's.
