Stauffer-Dunning Chair of Policy Studies 
and Executive Director, School of Policy Studies, Queen’s University

Dr. A. Scott Carson is the Stauffer-Dunning Chair of Policy Studies and Executive Director of the Queen’s School of Policy Studies. Previously, he was Professor of Strategy and Organization, and Director of The Monieson Centre for Business Research in Healthcare at Queen’s School of Business. Professor Carson’s career has combined academe with both government and business. He has been a dean at two Canadian university business schools and the CEO of an Ontario government secretariat. In business he was a vice-president of corporate finance at a major Canadian bank. Carson is Chair of the Board of Kingston General Hospital and has been a director of many other public and private sector organizations. Professor Carson is a graduate of Mount Allison (B.Comm.) and Dalhousie (B.Ed., MA) Universities, and received his PhD from the University of London (UK).
