  • Check-in and light refreshments

BioScienes Auditorium

  • Welcome
  • Discussion of transition, components of student success, academic expectations, student support services, and living in residence

11:15am

BioSciences Auditorium and BioSciences lecture hall

 

  • Family members program: transition issues, stress points, how to support your student, communication between families and Queen's, and resources
  • Student program: talk to upper-year students about academic transition, and helpful resources

12:00pm

Ban Righ Dining Hall

  • Buffet lunch
  • Opportunity to talk informally with student support services staff
  • Optional tours of residence rooms

1:30-3:30pm

Various location, TBA

  • Faculty-specific programming
  • Overview of course registration, creating course timetables
  • Information about financial assistance, financial accounts

 

Week 2 - Tuesday July 17 – Friday July 20, 2012

For students in Engineering & Applied Science, Commerce, and Nursing
