Rhodes Scholarship Application Process

The application process for 2015 Rhodes Scholarships will begin in May or June 2014 when Rhodes' online system opens.

The application deadline to Rhodes will be a date in October 2014 that will be set by Rhodes when its application process opens.

All Rhodes applicants must be endorsed by their post-secondary institution. Queen's students will need to submit an application to the university in early September to be considered for endorsement. See below for more information. The exact timeline will be determined once the Rhodes application deadline has been set by Rhodes.

Application Process and Institutional Endorsement

All Queen's students wishing to apply for the Rhodes Scholarship must receive an institutional endorsement from the Principal. Institutional endorsements are decided through an internal screening process which takes place each year in September.

Students who meet the criteria are encouraged to make an appointment with the Office of the Vice Provost and Dean of Student Affairs to express their interest. All applications to be considered by Queen's internal selection committee must be submitted to the Office of the Vice-Provost and Dean of Student Affairs by date TBD in September 2014.

The selection committee will meet mid-September 2014 to review applications and all successful students will be notified by the end of September. If your application has been successful, you will receive an authorization code to start the online application process. The endorsement letter will be sent directly by Queen's to the provincial Rhodes secretary.
