Code of conduct & non-academic discipline
As a Queen's student, you are bound by the student Code of Conduct.
The Code applies to all conduct, on and off campus, that has a real and substantial connection to the University, University activities, the University community or University-related functions.
It contains information about jurisdiction, student responsibilities, behavioural sanctions, and student procedural rights.
Breaches of the Code can be sanctioned through the peer-administered judicial system in Residences or through the Alma Mater Society or Society of Graduate and Professional Students.
In emergency situations, such as when the safety of campus community members is in question, the University can take emergency measures to address the situation quickly.
Information about appeal processes in discipline cases can be found in the Senate Policy on Student Appeals, Rights and Discipline.
Cases of harassment and discrimination are handled through the Harassment/Discrimination Complaint Policy and Procedure.
