US Veteran Affairs

Queen’s University is a VA-approved institution (Department of Veterans Affairs). Applications are processed by the Student Awards Office.

Please note that on-line distance learning and unmatriculated courses are not eligible for VA funding.

Once you have made your application to the US Department of Veterans Affairs, email your Certificate of Eligibility provided by VA to awards@queensu.ca to have your enrolment confirmed and certified.

If the program of education you intend to pursue has not yet been approved for VA benefits, you should contact the Student Awards Office by email awards@queensu.ca and request that the school apply for approval. Only an official of the foreign school may apply for approval of a program. The student cannot submit the request on the school’s behalf. 

Important: If your program approval is denied by VA you will be responsible to your school for all charges including tuition and fees.
