Athletic Financial Awards
Future Students:
Queen's offers athletic financial awards to entering students who are on the competition roster of a Queen's Gaels interuniversity (varsity) team.
Selection of candidates will be based on:
- Academic achievement
- Athletic excellence
No application is required to be considered for an athletic financial award, however please ensure you have identified your interest in playing for a Queen's Gaels interuniversity team to the interuniversity coach.
Recipients are selected by the Student Awards Office in consultation with Queen's Athletics and Recreation. Athletic financial awards will be administered in accordance to all Canadian Interuniversity Sports (CIS) and Ontario University Athletics (OUA) regulations.

All students are considered automatically for a grades-based Admission Scholarship by applying for admission to Queen's based on academic achievement alone. Students who excel both in the class and on the field should consider applying for the Queen's Major Admission Scholarships and Awards. Additionally, all entering students may apply for a Queen's Admission Bursary.
Current Students:
Student athletes participating on an interuniversity teams (as defined by either Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) or Ontario University Athletics (OUA) are eligible to be considered for athletic scholarships, bursaries and awards.
Athletic Scholarships will be based on academic achievement and athletic excellence.
To be eligible for consideration of an Athletic Scholarship you must be an upper year student who will be participating on a Queen's University interuniversity athletic team for the Fall and Winter terms. Interested athletes must complete and submit an Application for Queen's University Athletic Scholarships and Awards to the Student Awards Office no later than the 1st of October in order to be considered for an Athletic Scholarship.
