OSAP Appeals
Adjustment to Vehicle Market Value-Vehicle Modified to Accommodate Disability
If a student/spouse owns or leases a vehicle which has been modified to accommodate a disability (e.g. electronic ramp), then the market value of the vehicle is not be considered when calculating an asset contribution on the student’s OSAP application.
Documentation required:
- a letter outlining the nature of the modification made to the vehicle and identifying the family member for whom the modification was made: student, spouse, or dependent, and
- a medical certificate for the individual for whom the vehicle modification was made providing proof that the modification is related to the individual’s disability.
